Two maids in chafmihg gowns oi Buckingham lilac rippled Chiffon attended the bride, Peggy Eae", second daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. Lord, Alexander street, Hastings, at her marriage yesterday afternoon to Lesiie James, eldest son of Mr and Mrs C. C. WiUis, of Napier. The wedding was solemnised at the Sacrefl Heart Church, Hastings, by the Rev. Father MaeDonald. A prmcess gown of xichest magnolia satin with lace collar and cuffs and esfeorted by ier father. The skirt swept ihto a very loiig bval train and the corsage Had a wide draped eowl back and front finishing on each shoulder with a ro w of tiniest satiii-covered buttons. The long full Weeves were slashed at the shoulders and gathered into narrow cuffs. She wore satin sheeS to match her gown and her long embroidered tulle veil was arranged with a satin plait and miniature arum lilies. The bride 's tradn was carried by a little page, Briah Harris, of Woodville, who wore a Yictorian suit of cream catin with lace collar and cuffs and white kid shoes. The two maids were Miss Betty Lord, the ibride's sister (chief) and Miss Eileen Willis and their gowns of lilac chiffon mounted on taffeta were fashioned exaCtly alike with very full skirts _ attrdctively gathered into the waistline with a wide band of honeycombing. The "honeycombing was continued in the V up the bodice which was softly draped and at the" waist was a J^arrow belt with cotered buttons. the shoulder to the narrow cuff. Each maid wore deep violet sandals, a wreath of wood pulp violets in her hair ahd carried a posy of violets, Each bridesmaid received a cheque from the bridegroom and to the page he gave ,a-silvCr-initialled table-napkin ring. Mr William Riehards, of Napier, was the best man and Mr MexWell Lord/ the groomSman. The wedding receptio'n WaS held at the Barrie Studio, Hastings, where a happy time was spent by all the guests, who were reeeived b'y the bride 's paTents, Mr and Mrs F. J, Lord/ asSisted by the parents of the bridegroom, Mr and Mrs C. C. Willis. Mrs Lord wore a frock of black matalasso with tiny white buttons from neck to waist ifl front and an ebony belt clasp. She' wore a coat of white embossed ermine, black hat and accessories and carried a bouqiiet of red cyeiamen and ferii. Mrs Willis wore a nut brown georgette gown with insefs of needlcrun iace in the same shade and having a spray of autumn flowers at the neck. Her brown cloque coat was fur-trimmed and she wore a smart toque. of bro-vin lacquered straw and carried a posy of brown and autumn tinted pansies and maidenhair fern. Among the guests were the bride 'a giandparenfs, Mr aud Mrs I. Lord, of Wellington. When the bride and bridegroom left by car for their hofleymoon tour of the North Island the bride travelled in a ±.voek oi rust cloquO, th© collar caught in front with- an ivory elaspj She Wore a brown hat and accessories and a musquash fur coat, the bridegroom '3 gift. t Many beautiful presents and cheques were reeeived by the young couplo, among the latter .being a very handsome cheque from the ./bridegroom '3 grahdparehts, Mr and Mrs Stiidrt, oi Napier. ......
