Harvey, Fulton and Hill report having held their weekly market sale in their mart, Russell street, Hastings, on Saturday last when there was a large attendance of the public. Prices may be quoted: — Poultry. — B.O. pullets 6/to 6/9, later sorts 4/- to 4/6, W.L. pullets 5/6 to 6/-, later sorts 3/6 to 4/-, B.O. cockerels 3/'3 to 8i/3, W.L. cockerels 3/-, to 4/9, B.O. hens 3/3 to 4/6, W.L. hens 2'6 to 3/4, Sussex hens 2/8 to 4/2, ducks 5/6 to 7/- pair, pidgeons 1/2 each, bantams 2/- to 4/2 pair. Other saies were: — Ehgineer's saw 7/-, bit and cbain 7/-, miro stove £1 9/6, 30 bags maize from 6/3 to 9/6, bolts 4/6, 50 bales hay at 1/6 (thrashed), oak table £2 5/-, gate 15/ lawnmower 10/-, dSning- room sif.te £8, double bed 17/6, set crockery £1 15/-, wheelbarrow £1 2/6, Acme wringer £2 01/-, mattress £1 5/-. A fair entry of fruit, vegetables and sundries met with ready competition.
