Gordon Walker, Ltd., report a most successful elearance of poultry, pigs and dairy stock at their weekly market sale, held on Saturday last at their Kussell street saleyards. Tbe following prices were realised: — Poultry.— Table birds 2/7 to 7/3, W.L. hens 2/7 to 4/3, w.l. cockerels 2/S to 4/9, B.O. hens 3/2 to 4/4, b.o. cockerels 3/9 to 7/3, w.l. pullets 5/6 to 6/6, 2-year laying w.l. hens 4/3 to 4/5, guineae fowls 3/6, pigeons 1/-, I.B. ducks 6/4 to 6/10 per pair, Muscovy ducks 7/2 to 8/4 per pair. Kgs. — Weaners 12/- to 18/6, slips 19/- to '21/6, Stores 22/6 to 26/6, light porkers 29/- to 35/6, porkers 38/- to £3 3/-, baconers £3 S/- to £3 19/-, breeding sows at £3 7/6. Dairy stock. — 1 Jersey cow at £6 12/6, 2 at £4 5/-, 1 Jersey heifer at £5 5/-, 1 at £4, 2 at £2 15/-, 1 at £2 7/6. Sundries. — Trailer £9, Singer sewing machine £12, saddle £3 5/-/ churn £1 11/-, dog 16/-, part shed £2 2/6, hayforks at 3/-, fencing battens at 12/6 per 100, gates 25/- each, drain pipes 2/6 each, pig potatoes 4/3 and 5/- per Sack, veterinary book 12/-. ^ Fruit, produce and sundries sold at prices satisfaetory to vendors.
