WAIMARAMA DANCE AT MR & MRS MASON'S HOME
Mr and Mrs Mason's home at Waimarama was the ecene of merriment on Saturday night when the members of the Maraetotara-Waimarama Women's lustitute met to entertam their husbands and friends. Dancing, games* and competitions were indulged in. and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Much credit was due to the organisers, Misscs B. Gilray, D. Long and M. Edgecomoe. The competition winners were as follows : — Miss J. Long, Mrs Elliott, Miss Turtin, ltoy Taylor and- Mugh Macintosh. During an interval between dances a humorous sketch entitled. "The man who thought of Eveiything" was presented. The players were Mrs Gilray, Miss B. Gilray and Miss L. , Baird. This was splendidly performed and caused much amusement. A very dainty supper was serv-ed after whieh two very clever and amusing charades were presented, one by Mr and Mrs Mason and the otlier by Mesdames ilobson, Edgecombe, Mason and Miss Edgecombe. These sketchas were particularly well done and greatly appreciated by all present. , At the conclusion of the evening Mrs Elliott, on behalf of the members, thanked Mr and Mrs Mason for tho use of their home i'or the occasion. A very happy evening closed with the singing ot "Auld Lang Syne." Those present were: Mrs Mason, Mrs Gilray, Mrs A. Elliott, Mfs J. Thom, Mlrs Boese, Mrs B. King Mrs U. Elliott, R. MicQuilkan, J. Gilray, It. Taylor, Mackintosh (2), Hart (2), Sanders, Mitchell -M. Thom and V. McNcil.
