DUCHESS OF KENT AND TWO CHILDREN IN MOTOR ACCIDENT
(Received 27, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 26. The Duchess of Kent and her two children, Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra, had a narrow escape when the car in which they were going to Sandwich while descending Wrotham Hill, Kent, collided With a car ascending the hill. The side of the Royal car waa damaged and a window broken. An Automobile Assoqiation scout, after an assurance that no-one was lajured, sdught assistance. The Duchess, meanwhile, remained in the car and consoled her children, the younger of whom was In tht nurse 's arms. The party later journeyed in a relief car to the curiously-named Bloodypoint House, Sandwich Bay, where the Duke and Duchess intend leaving their chff- * dren for a seaside holiday while they go on the Continent. The Duke, who is in London. when informed of the accident by telephonej was told that all wae well,
