CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. • Joseph Reid Taylor, a 20-year-old ealesman, was a guest at the City Council traffic inspectors' dance last night. In tho Magistrate 's Court today ha pleaded guilty to* being intoxocated in eharge of a ear iu Armagli street last night. TayJor was lined £10. and his liceuce was cancelled for 12 months. Sub-liispector MeLean eaid that Taylor was found in the f'ront scat of a rental cai by two traffic inspectors. They were satistied that be was in toxicated. Counsei contended that tlie offence was a technical one Taylor, he said. had been to . the traffic inspectors' dance and had had a number of dninks. He folt uinvell, so he wont to the ear, unloeked the door, threw the keys on the floor and fell asleep. Taylor had jM&e on attemf t to driva the car.
