COUNTRY GOLF

Waipawa Club's Play Owing to the inclement conditions it was found necessary to postpone the match which was to have been played by the Waipawa Golf Qub against Parkvale during the week-end. Despite the weather eeveral Parkvale members journeyed to Waipawa and a splendid day's golf resulted. Stroke rounds were played both morning and afternoon and some excellent cards were returned. Some of the best were as follow : — Bisliop 69, Watts 72, Maitland 74, Edwards 74, Collings 74, Louis 73, Ross 73, Wright 74, Trevana 71. CLUB COMPETITIONS Further elimination rounds in the club competition played during the week-end resulted as follow: — Trevana beat R. Knoblock, French beat J. Knoblock. The F.M.T. Cup and championship rounds are now well forward and these eveuts should be finalised at an early date, DRAW FOR TO-MORROW To-morrow the annual bogey round over 18 holes for the Otane Cup will be played, players to take the tee at 1.15 p.m. sbarp, The draw is as hereunder: — Bryant plays Bishop, Woods plays Jopsou, Edwards plays Surridge, Tickner plays Walker, Shackleford plays Knoblock, Oark plays Dwight, Rust plays Norris, Dallas plays Fox, Petersen plays Jehery, lieg. Hoit plays another. Next week-end the club will meet Aramoana at Aramoana.
