Ln addition to four fatal road accidents yesterday, a score more were injured, including the reetor of St. James's Pro-Cathedral, the Rev. Cecil King, aged 75, who was struck by a car, suffering a fractured jaw and nose and extensive cuts and abrasions. The Premier, Mr B. S. B. Stevens, called a conferenee of traflfic. experts to evolve metliods of reducing accidents aud making thoroughfares safer for pedestrians. The Premier is also introducing legislation to limit the speed of motor vehicles in tlie metropolitan area to 30 miles au hour and elsewliere to [50 iniles. >
