R.S.A. BALL

No Expense Being Spared another brilliant event Now that the sub-committee of the R.S.A. Ball Committee have met and definitely decided upon such things as the decorative scheme, the s upper, the music, the refreshments and every other necessary detail, the preliminary organisation of the ball in the Assembly Hall on Thursday, August 5, is well advanced. The ball last year was attended by 700 or 800 people and was memorably successful. It may be said without exaggeration that it was the gayest and most friendly affair of its kind that the town had known for some considerable time, and the committee realised Miat the two functions they had held had made such a name for themseives that they. would be keenly looked forward to annually. This has indeed proved to be the case, and the announcement of the date for this year's event has brought to the minds of those who attended last year what a really great function it was, and it is already being spoken of a$ a coming great event. Les Henry's Orchestra of seveai instruments has been engaged to play the music of the ' programme in which there will be both , modern and oldtime dances. The decorations will equal the beautiful scheme that was a feature of the ball last year, Th6 supper also will be a feature, and there will be bridge also.
