After the miniftes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed, ■fmd beforeJ proceeding with ' the business of the • evenibg, a vote of condolerice t was passed to the relatives of the late- Mr. H. J. Kussell; all members standing. The annual. report was then read and, with the statement of accounts, was adopted. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. C. E. Stewart; vicepresident, Mr. A. Christie; honorary sccretary and treasurer, Mr. H. P. Newton (re-elected) ; green superintendent, Mr. P. W. Barlow (re-elect-ed); selector and handicapper, Mr. J. Dunsford (re-elected); ' honorary auditor, Mr. H. Wardell-Johnson; general committee, Messrs. Dunn, Dale, La Eoche and Norrie; games committee, Messrs. Dunsford, Burnley and W. Johnson; delegates to Hawke's Bay Centre, Messrs. J. McLennan and H. P. Newton. s The presentation of trophies won during the season 1936-37 was carried out by the president as follow: Handicap singles, Mr. H. Stcele; feathers, Messrs. Drummond, Newton, Pacey and McClurg. It is probable that the games committee will arrange another competition in place of the feathers competition. The question of a new ground was brought up, and this will be considered later. In the meantime two committeea were formed as follows: Ground committee, Messrs. Stewart, Barlow, Fleming, Holt and Corbett. Finance committee: Messrs. McLennan, Spence, Burnley, Wood and Dunsford. Each committee is to appoint a delegate to sit on the general committee. A licarty vote of thanks wtis passed to Alessrs. Barlow, Wood and Fleming for work already done in connection with tho new ground. A vote of thanks to tho chair and Messrs. Eotemeycr and Edgley for use of their room concluded the meeting.
