\ Tournaments Next Month PROVINCIAL TITLE MATCHES In view of the approach of the New Zealand amateur boxing championships two amateur tournameuts have been decided upon by the executive of the Hawke'e Bay Boxing Association^ the secpnd being for the provincial titles. The executive met in Hastings last evening, Mr. J. D. Donovan presiding -over Mesars. L. J. B. Hammond, '11. Connop, V. Colello, G. Warren, H. G. Apperley and J. Stickland (hon. secretary), v The New Zealand Boxing Concil advised that the National championships would be held at Greymouth ou September 9, 10 and 11; and that nominations for the various divisions closed on September 1. To enable the amateurs to get into trim it was deeided to hold an allamateur night in the Premier Hall on August 5, and to hold the Hawke's Bay amateur provincial championships in the same building on August 16. ' Nominations and entries for the all-ama-. teuT tournament are to close on August 2. A number of trophies for the ama teur tournament were donated by meui* bers of the executive. The re?ignation of Mr. R. M. de Lisle as chairman. of the executive was accepted, and a letter of thanks is to be sent to him for his past services. Mr. J. D. Donovan was appoiuted chairinan pro tem.
