(Received 23, 8.45 a.m.) NEWYORK, July 22. The United Press Washington correspondent states that contrary to the concept that Germany is allied with Japan, the German Ambassador, Dr. Hans Dieekhoff, called upon Mr. Cordell Hull, Secretary of State, and indicated Germany is associating with the United States in a most strict "hands-off" policy in the Par East for fear that interference would possibly ignite a world ccmflict. • The New York Times financial cditor says that Japan is dumping huge quantities of gold into the United States. Gold valued at 105,000,000 dollars has arrived in America since March, and further large consignments are coming. In order to obtain' a high price the proceeds are being immediately converted into sterling. This step is connected with the prospects of war in the Par East.
