Sherenden Meeting At the July meeting of the Sherenden Women's Institute Mrs Boyd presided^ over an excellent attendance of members. An itrterestiiig demonstration of rock-garden making was given by Mrs Baker and » watched with great enthusiasm by the meniibers. After a most anjoyable afternoon tea had been served Mrs Baker gave ihn interesting and instructive talk on the institute oonferences. The results in the competitions, which were very well contested were: Best bloom m th© garden : Senior, Mrs Clarkson 1, Mrs Doole 2, Mrs McGrane 3. Juniors: Miss N. Attwood 1, Miss ' Iv. Matthews 2, Miss M. Matthews 3. Mason jar of fiowers (to be arranged in five minutes), Mrs McGrane 1, Mrs Attwood 2, Mrs Whyte 3. Pair men's sox (plain knitting) ; Seniors : Mrs Attwood 1, Mrs Doole 2, Mrs Smiley 3. Junior : Miss M. Matthews 1.
