Auckland a Reservations for Springbok Game INFLUX OF VISITORS

AUCKLAND, Last Night. Due to the phenomenal interest in the Springboks' football match against Auckland on Saturday, the entire ae commodation in praetically every city botel and boarding house has been booked for the week-end. Thousands oi people ate converglng on Auckland from every part of New Zealand, and it is considered that any visitor who has not made advance observation will have extreme difficulty in obtaining even a "shake-down." About 4000 people are arrivng either by Friday or on Saturday mornmg, by nine special trains from Wellington, Taranaki, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and North Auckland. Hundreds of others are coming by ordinary expresses, while another large contingent is being brought by various bu» services which are providing additional transport where neeessary. Some hotels began making bookings as long ago as JanuaTy, and innumerable reservations have been made in the past two months, One of the largest houses in the city was fully booked ten days ago, and almost all others had let their entire aceommodation by last Monday. Hundreds of inqudries are still being received, and aithough a number of hotels and boardinghouses are providing temporary quarters in lounges, writing rooms and cocktail bars, the number of people eo accommodated will be only a fractioa of those still requirdng rooms, - A feature about the iuquiry for aceommodation has been that many people have ako desired to reserve rooms for September 2, when the third Test match against the Springboks will be played in Auckland. As a result most of the hotels and boarding houses report that they are already partially booked for that occasion.
