H. johnstone, K.O., vice-president, both for a further term, Mr John H. Bho^es, of ChTistchuich, has been appointed to the toard of directors'of the Kaiapoi Woollen ManufaCtilring Cd. Ltd., to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr A. F. Carey, of Christchurch. Mr B. McGlashan, of Napier, president of the New Zealand Edncational institute, is to leave Wellington for the South Island this evening. He will return from Dunedin to Palmerston North by air on Saturday. M.r J. I. Cfaig, Commissioner of Customs in Egypt and echnoaic consultant to the Egyptian Government, wili arrive ,by the Wanganella to-day. It is understood he will survey the pmspecfc of improved trade between New Zealand aUd Egypt, and return to Australia by the Wanganella on August
