Mangaorapa Meeting

The monthly meeting 0f the Mangaorapa Women' s Institute jvas held with Mrs A. H. Hope in the chair, The attendance was not as good as usual owiug to some members being away from the district, Mrs Hope introduced Miss Russell, who gave a most interesting talk pn Kenya and travel through spme of the wilds of Africa. - The competitions for the day were judged by Miss Russell, the results were as follow: TJndergarment : Mrs J. D. Davidson 1st; spray (natural flowers), Miss Mavis Redward 1st; spray (artificial flowers), Mrs Connell's two entries tied for 1st prize. The hostesses for tlie afternoon were Mrs Sherston and Miss Lila Hansard, who served a very dejioious afternoon tea, which was very much enjoyed by all
