CREAM CLOQUE MATALASSE WORN BY NORSEWOOD BRIDE

St. Bridget's (Jatliolic Church, Ormondville, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday last, when the marriage was solemnised of Ellen Teresa Grace, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Jolin 'Murphy, "Te Whiti," Norsewood, to George "Wright, son ot Mr and Mrs J. Hammond, of Makotuku, The ckureh had been prettily decorated with iceland poppies and maidenhair iern. The Kev. Jjatlier Barr-Brown periorxued the cereiuuny, and Miss Pearl Lorrigau presided at the organ. Escorted by her brotlier, Mr Con Murphy, the bnde made a charming picture as slie entered the church. Her lrock of creain cioque matalasse was cut on c.assical lmes, with. full sleeves to the wrist. The cowled neckline was held by a pearl brooch, and tiny pearl uuttons buttoned down the back to the waist ijoie. Her beautiful embronlered veil, held by a coronet of orange blossons, teii into a gracelul train. Shoes and gloves to tone were worn. Her lovely snower bouquet of cream ireesias, hyaeuiths and maidenhair i'ern tied with eream streamers completed her toilette. The bridesmaid was , Miss Molly Murphy, sister of the bride. Her lrock of lemon georgette over gold satin was smartly iashioned on fittmg lines, with full sleeves to the wrist, with Peter Pan collar silver spray at neck line and silver slioes to tone. A quaint lemon tulle nat with spray and suiall ej> e veil was worn. A sbeaf of lemon iceland poppies completed her toilette. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr john Murphy, brother of the bnde. T'ollowing the ceremony the reeeption was held m the lnstitute Hall, Norsewood, where Mrs Murphy and Mr and Mrs Hammond received their guests. Mrs Murphy wore a model frock of black satin beaute with fur and hat, gloves and shoes to tone, Her posy was of violeis. Mrs Hammond was wearing a smartly tailored navy coutume and fur, with hat, gloves and shoes to tone. Her posy was also of violets. A feature of the bridal table was the handsome three-tiered wedding cake, while the tables were "re'ttily decorated in cream and gold »• . sprigs of white heather. The Tlev. Futner Barr-Brown was a genial master of ceremonies and toasts appropriate to the occasion wero honoured. Many telegrams and congratulatory messages were received and read. The liappy couple left lor a motor tour of the north. Mrs Hammond was wearing a smart costume in mushroom shado with fur stole. Her hat, shoes, gloves, purse and tailored overcoat were nigger brown. Mr and Mrs Hammond were the recipients of many costly and useful presents, including a number of cheques. Their futpre lxome wiJl be -at Makotuku.
