CAR CRASHES INTO POLE

Two Hastings. Residents Injured ACCIDENT NEAR TE HAUKE Two Hastings residents were injured when a car left the mrrin NapierPalmerston North road and crashed into a telephone polc shortly before eight o'cloek on. Saturday evening. The accident occurred near Te Hauke. CoDCUssion and injuries to the head and shoulders were suffered by Mr. John S. Dunn, of Tomoana, who was a passenger in the car, which was driven by Mr. Frank Newrick, of Hastings. Mr. Dunu was admitted to the Hastings Soldiers' Memoriai Hospital and his condition, though serious, was roported this morning to be satisfactory. Mr. Newrick escaped with minor bruises and a severe shaking. The car was damaged extensively.
