HASTINGS RUN

Those membei^ of the Hastings Harrier Club who did not go to Masterton held a- pack run from the Hawke's Bay Gun Club's grounds in Maraekakaho Toad. The trail of about nine miles led across country past the Hastings golf links and through the Hastings Borough Council pine reserve and then veered round in a southerly direction, eventually coming out at Pakipaki. From there the main road was followed back to the Gun Club grounds. The ground was very heavy the whole way, and the weather was wet and bitterly cold throughont the run. The trail was laid by E. Heaton and R. Clark.
