WAUJUAUitAU, Tins Day. There was a very good attendance of members at the meeting of Gourt Ruahine, A.O.F.) held in the Masonic Hall Bro. D. R, Logan presided. On the motion of Bro. E. G. Dowrick, seconded by Bro. F. R. Logan, it was decided to placo on the minutes a record of the services of Bro. H. J. Hartley to the lodge. In the courso of some very eulogistie referenees to Bro. Hartley 's work it was stated that he becaxne a Chief Ranger in 1881 and had been a regular attender, as Treasurer for over 30 yeara, at meetings of the Court until recently — a record probably unsurpassed in the annals of frieii'dly society work in Central Hawke's Bay. One candidato was initiated into the Order by the Chief Ranger, assisted by Bros. H. Paget and E. G. Dowrick and lodge officers. One nomination for membership was received. It was decided to hire the large hall for an hour on the night of thc Juvenile Court meeting, so that the children might be entertaiped after their meeting.A discussion also ensued as to providing suitable games for the juvenile members.
