Penny Increase Forecast * . HIKURANGI OPINION

WHANGAREI, This Day. While some quarters estimate the increase iu the guaranteed price this season at about 3d a lb., Mr F. Elliott. Chairman of directors of the Hikurangi Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., at the annual meeting yesterday considered that the Government would give favourable consideration to increasing the price and that dairy suppliers would get something like a penny extra. He did not expect a decision until Mr Nash returned. He also anticipated that the Government at an early dato would take control of the marketing of butter within New Zealand.
