WAIPUKURAU, Last JN'ight. Tb'e usual montlily meeting of tbe Waipukurau branch of tbe Plunket Society was beld in tbe Rest room yesterday, Mrs J. D. Ormond presiding over the foilowing members: Mesdames W. A. Chambers, M. Joblin, C. R. Moore, F. S. Hopkinson, . J . H. Walker, 1. W. N. Mackie, F. R. McWiliiam, E. Broad, C:- Pattison, .13. J. McOormick and tlie secretary, Miss A E. Hobson. Apologies were l'eeeived from Mesdames L. S. F. Bell, J. L. Bratbwaite, H. Hooper and L. Harker. Plunket Nurse Ellis submitted tbe foilowing report for tbe montb of June: Visits to Rooms : Waipukurau, adults, 15'3, babies 123, children 33; total 309. Takapau : adults 31, babies 28, children 8; tota.1 67. Porangahau: Adults 13, babies 11, children 7 y total 31. Visits to liouses: Waipukurau 50, Takapau 9, Parangabau 9. New cases-. Waipukurau 167, Takapau 59, Porangahau 22. Karilac sold 22ibs ; Kai'iol Karil, lOlbs. Letters written , 2, letters received 2. A pai-cel of useiul warm clotbing was received from Mrs A. S. Wilder, and a letter expressing thanks sent. A letter was received from Mrs G. 15. Gideou, resigning from tbe committee. Mrs J. D. Ormond and Miss 15. A. Hobson were tbe appointed delegates to attend tbe provincial conl'erence to be bcid in Hastings on July 27. It is hoped otber members oi tbe committee will attend. lt was proposed that a letter oi sympatli} be sent to Nurse Campbell, witb wisbes for ber niother's speedy recovery. Mrs Broad and Miss Hobson were appointed visitors to tbe rooms I'oi tlie ensuing month. Accounts amounting to 19/9 were passed for payment. A subscription was received from Mrs W. VA. Chambers witb tbanJks.
