WAIPAWA, Tbis Day. Return matches between the Waipawa and Waipukurau primary schools and also tbe postponed games with the Otane School, were played on Coronation Park, tbe results being as follows : Waipukurau v. Waipukurau. « Basketball: Waipawa A 12 v Waipukura A 4; Waipukurau B 7 v Waipawa B 6. Tbe football match between Waipawa A and Waipukurau A resulted in a drawn game, tbe score being 5-all, after a very good exbxbition of fast, open foptball by both teams. Waipawa v. Otane. Basketball: — Otane A 14 v Waipawa A 5] Otane B 16 v Waipawa B 3. In tbe football tbe Waipawa teani proved too strong, defeating tbe visitors by 24 points to nil. Tries were scored by P. Meba (3), S. McCleary (3) and M. Maaka converted three.
