JOLLY EVENING FOR BRIDE-TO-BE
A very jolly evening m the forin oi a surprise party in honour of Miss Mae Cunnold, whose marriage to Mr CoJin Bartle takes place shortly, was held on Tuesday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs C. G. Cunnold, Outram road, Hastings. Soine 20 young people were present, and a very happy time was spent in games, competitions and corcmunity singing. During the evening items were given bv Miss Joyce Symonds and . Mr Jokn Corbit, proved very popular. After supper tlie guests of honour were asked to open many very ainusing parcels containing useful gifts, after which Mr Colin Bartle .thanked all present for the gifts and the very happy evening. "For tkey are jolly good fellows" was then heartily sung. At a late hour the party ended witb the singing "Auld Lang Syne." Messrs K. Bowlands and G. Spurdle made very capable M.C.'s.
