CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Advanced prices ruled to-day at Addington for fat sheep and fat pigs, fat cattle being easier. Store sheep: A small offering and a good demand. Ewe hoggets sold to 34s, s.m. Romney cross ewes to 33s 6d. Pat sheep; Another keen sale. Wethers firmed 2s and ewes ls 6d for best and abont half as much for medium. Ihe top price for wethers was 50s 4d and for ewes 34s 4d. Extra primo heavy wethers to 50s 4d, prime heavy 37s to 42s 6d, prime medium weight 32s 6d to 36s, ordinary 29s to 32s, light to 37s 6d; extra prime heavy ewes to 34s ld, prime heavy 28s 6d to 31s, prime medium weight 26s to 28s, ordinary 21s to 25s, light to 20s. Fat cattle; An entry of 535. Good steers were up to 10s easier, other sorts 10s to 15s. Light steers averaged £15 10s 8d and one pen of ;22 made £15 2s. Extra prime heavy steers to £17 17s 6d, prime heavy £13 to £14 10s, priihe medium weight £12 to £13, ordinary £9 15s to £11 5s; extra prime heifers to £12 2s 6d, prime £8 5s to £9 5s, mediuto. £6 to £7 10s, light heifers to £5 15s; extra prime cows to £11 2s 6d, prime £6 5s to £8 10s, medium £4 10s to £5 15s, light cows to £4 5s. Vealers: There was a sound sale for good calves, particularly .smaller sorts. Prime heavy runners made to £6 11s, heavy runners £4 to £5, medium runners £2 10s to £3 5s; prime vealers £3 5s to £4 5s, medium vealers £2 12s 6d to £3 2s 6d; small calves 20s to 50s. Dairy cattle: 100 head comprising very ordinary sorts were penned. There ,was a dragging sale from the outset and , little competition. Best second andi third calvers and heifers sold at £10. Fat pigs: A smaller entry and a general advance in prices. Both baconers and porkers improved. Choppers 48s 6d to £5 3s 6d, porkers 29s 6d to 57s 6d, average price per lb. 6$d to 7d; baconers 58s 6d to £4 19s 6d, average price per lb. 6£d to 6fd.
