WAIPAWA, This Day. Afc the monthly meeting of the Waipawa County Council tbe following works arising out of the engineer' s report were authorised: — ln the Waipawa riding, the work recommended by the engineer on tbe Te Onepu and Butler's .roads was authorised. The tar-sealing near Smith5 s bridge is to receive attention. The engineer' s. suggestions regarding McLeod' s and Lookout roads in the Ongaonga riding are to be carried out. Metaliing is to be done on Black's road, in the Clinton riding. Tbe engineer submitted a Hst of roads to be classed as fourth elass. Tbe scbedule of third.and fourth class roads was approved. The report of the telephone linesman was adopted. The ranger reported that eight head of cattle had been removed from county roads during the month. Tbe tender of Mr B. Ireland for tbe reconstruction and metaliing of one mile of road in tbe Tikokino township was accepted. The proposal that Messrs Yates and Seinple, of the Transport Department, should visit Waipawa at least one day in each week for testjng purposes, was approved.
