BURGLARY IN HASTINGS

Billiard Saioon Entered £5 IN G00DS & CASH STOLEN After a brief quiet period, tlie series of barglaries in Hastings was resumed during tlie week-end, when tlie Kia Ora billiard saioon, in Karamu road, was broken into and about £5 in cash. and goods was taken. Though the proprietor, Mr. J. M. Dexter, was in the saioon for a brief period on Sunday, he noticed nothing amiss, but yesterday morning he noticed that a locker in which he had stored cigarettes and tobacco and about £2 10/- In cash had been forced open. Apparently the intruder or intrudera had cleared the locker of its stock and used an apron as wrapping, for this also wa^. missing. One unusual feature about the burglary is that there is nothing to show how, entry was made, all doors and windows being intact and without any signs of having been forced open. It js assumed that some unauthorised person has a key to one 1 of the doors^
