After a further diseussion, Mr. George Lansbury, the British Labour politician, said that Signor • Mussolini declared that he would welcome a World Peace Conference dealing witli territorial, eeonomie and finaneial questions, but that preparations must bu tfioroughly made with discussions be forehand so as to avoid failure. Signor Mussolini expressed the opinion that the only possibility of inter* national agreement on disarmamenl wag from the viewpoint of limitation and fiot redudtion. He repeatedly affirmed that Italy had ho intention oi encroaching on Spain, and also expressed the opinion that no question cbtild afise to bring England and Italy into conflict in the Mediterranean. On the other hand, he would wel' eome a round-table diseussion on" questions now open between the two countries, including the recognition oi Ttaiy 's Abyssinian conquest. Mr. I.ansbury plans to bring about sueh a diseussion.
