WELLINGTON, This Day. Iu Ihe case Pacific Exploration Co. Ltd. (in liquidation) and another versus J W. S. MeArthur, an applicalioii was made this morning by Mr. R. E. Tripe, on bohalf of MeArthur, for eonditional leave of appeal to the Frivy Council from a judgment of the Court of Appeal pronounced in this matter on June last and also for an order for stay of execution. The Court made an order granting conditional leave of appeal, security for £500 to be given by MeArthur within three months. It was stated that a stay of execution could be granted on spoeial grouuds . oxily and none had been shown. ' On the contrary there were reasons why it should not be granted and it was accordinglv refused.
