AUCCKLAND, Last Night. • T,ho first report of the 300-ton barquentine, Cap Pilar, .since she left Svdnew on June 28 for Auckland^ reached here this; afternoon by the Union ComJ pany's motar-ship Kauri. The Kauri, en route from. New Plymouth to Auckland, sighted the Cap Pilar at midnight on Saturday 13 miles abeam of Stephenson Island. ofl Whangaroa. The Cap Pilar Morse-?ig-nalled a request ot the Kauri to w port her on arrival. The weather at the time was voTy light, with a breeze from the south-south-west, and the barquentine was making slow progress. As she was about 92 miles from Auckland when sighted, she is expeted to arrive her© in the early hours of to-morrow morn-
