An announcement that the first co- , bperative housing contract as between the Department of Housing Oonstruo tion and a co-operative group formed by the Wellington Oarpenters' Uniori had bCen approved by Cabinet was made to-riight by the Parliainetttary Under-Secretary in charge of housing, Mr J.- A t Lee.- He said it Only feinained now for thd Garpenttef s ' Union to fulfil the nortoal conditiotis Of contract imposed on all cofttraetofs, ariil a conrindricement could bc riiade.
