H. Luxford, S.M., in the Wellington Magistrate's Gourt for selling milk (milk shakes) in WellingtOri Withorit a licence from the Gity Council. "He was selling a compoUud produet; a- mixturo of which, if is tfue, th6 foundation Was milk arid the gfeater part of the mixture was iriilk, but, iri my opinion,- that is not sufficient.- The cbmpound artdcle was not rifllk withiri the meaning or contemplatiOn of the statute," said his Horiour. "That being my view, I hold that the Magistrate 'e determination was erroneous and rimst be reversed, the appeal being. allowed and the corivietion quashed with £7 7/-- costs."
