Aims of Gwners, Breeders and Trainers, Association

WELLINGTON, Last Night. In framing rules to govern the New Zealand Racing Owners, Breeders and Trainers' Association, the executlve today made the position regarding its hims andi objects -very definite -ln respect to the advancement of all racing interests. The rule adopted states that the objects of the association shall be to deal With all iaatters condncive t(i the advancement of owners, breeders and trainers, and the sport; Of racing generally. WMle watching morO par-tic-Ularly after the ultimate ihterests oi: - owners, breeders and trainers, .the assot ciation aims at giving whqle heaTted support to the New. Zealand Racibg Conference, the controlling body of racing in the Deminion. The executive elected Dt. E. H. B Milson (Auckland) as president of thf association, with Hon. G. R. Hunter (Christchurch) vice-president, and Mr. C. E. Craig (Auckland) was appolnted organising secretary. and treasurer. Arrangements Were set in train fo: the secretary at an carly date to visn Canterbury, Otago and Southland provinces with a view to establishinc branches, and When formed the presi den'ts of each branch will be given a seat on the Do'minion executive with the North Island representatives. It Was decided that with the. presi •dent and secretary located in Auckland, the headquarters of the organisation be established there for. the coming year. A deeision to hold the annual meeting in July of each yeaT at Wellington was ai-rivOd at» The basis at which subscriptions should be alloc'ated was fixed at one-third for' provincial branches and two-thirds to the DOmlmon council. Tl)e' registratibn of ' the association as an incorpohated body was left to the president and secretary for final attention. Representatives of the various provincial branches expressed appreci-; ation of the happy relations . existing hetweeii the association and the various racing clubs and also for the consideration shown by the New Zealand Racing Conference executive in any matters placed hefore it. Tribute was paid to the energy and enthusiasm. of the former organiser and secretary, Mr. E. G. Sutherland, of Auckland, whose effiorts had resulted in the establishment of branches in the North Island provinces which had led to the formation of the New Zealand association. A vote of thanks was aecorded the pre'sent secretary for his services in arranging the general meeting, which the executive considered highly successful and augured well for the future of IJie associaties.
