FOR COASTAL TRADE
Richardson Line's New Vessel Tbe addition of a new vessel to tho coastal services cffierating from Napier will follow on the visit to England of the manager of Richardson and Oo. Ltd., Mr. R. McLeay. Delivery of the neiv vessel is expeeted some time next year. To cope with the growth of the coastal shipping trade, it was dfecided early in the year that Mr. McLeay should visit England to arrange for the purchase or construetion of a new Vessel for. the '•ervice. Mr. Mo£eay is now returning on the Monowai, and i£ expeeted at Napier about Jiily 28. Arrangements for the construetion of an oil-burning vessel were, finalised and tho work has been commenced. It is thought probable that the new boat will be used upon the Napier-Gisborne-Auckland run, but at present no de^ finite date for its arrival in Napier has been fixed .
