SCALLOPED POTATOES
Take 2 Ibs. of potatoes, 3 to 4 ozs. of cheese, ozs. butter, 24 gills of niilk, salt and pej)per, 1} ozs. flour. Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut into thiu slices. Put them into a buttored pie dish iu layers, sprinkling each layer with flour, pepper, salt, finely srrated cheese and dabs of butter. Pour in the milk, sprinkle cheese on top, civer the dish with a bute red paper, and bake the potatoes in a muderntelv hor oven for about one hnur and a luilf, ui-til the potatoes are teui'cr.
