TAURANGA, Last Night. " At a meeting of the Opotiki Jockey Club and the Bay of Plenty Eacing Club it was unanimously xesolved that, both clubs should amalgamate and race in future in Tauranga. It was resolved also that approxfinately £1600 now held by the Opotiki Club should be appropriated by a donation of £600 to the Opotiki Hunt Club, the balance to be transferred to tho amalgamated club, and that also £100 annually should be donated to the Opotiki Hunt Club for 1Q years so that thq present financial members of tho Opotiki Joekey Club can be. to membership for five yeara free. Opotiki to have three membera and oue vice-president on the committee. Opotiki life members are to be admitted as life members of the amalgamated club. A sub-committee was appointed to tovise the rules to give effect to the resolution.
