Comedy, romance and adventure go on a mad rampage jn the new gay attraction, "Love on a Bet," with the feminine heart accelerator Gene Raymond, and the comely, British , newcomer, Wendy Barrie, teamed. Their trans-continental adventure on the sails of love make "Love on a Bet" one of the season's more unusual comedy attractions, "Love on a Bet" is brisk, rousing, weJl-paced. An excellent cast, sprightly dialogue and the odd situations elevate fdie entire production to a cresendo of suspense and humour resulting in a mighty fine comedy romance. "Women' Are Trouble" is the title of a newspaper story. Pressmen, with few exceptions will agree with "the declarative title, sorne from experiebce and many others from observation. Women, from their standpoint, are also provender for the Press, material for the liead writers and subject matter for the photograpbers. In the picture Stuart Erwiu gives newspapermen a chance to see themselves as others see them, in tlie character of Matt Casey, a st'ar reporter. FJorence Rice who is, incidentally, ihe charming daughter of Grantland Rice, the sports writer, plays a girl reporter wlio increases the circulation of the men she meets, wliatever she does for that of the paper.
