AUCKLAND, Last Night. After an impressive service in the ehapel at the Church Army headquarters the firgfc mission motor earavan for use in the Auckland diocese was dedicated by Archbishop Averill. Prior to the dedication of the earavan three trainees, Captains A. Dewar (Masterton), G. Taylor (Auckland), and P. Day (Christchurch) receivea t'iieir papers and licenses of comnilssion from the Archbishop "iu the name of God and the Church Army." "Quietness and couiidence, words whieh have been revolving round my mind to-day, are the words most appropriate for this very mteresting and touc'hing occasion," said the Archbishop in the conrse of a brief address. "We are here," ho added, "to ask God's blessing on this new development of Church Army work in the diocese oi Auckland. Oaravans are an integraJ part of the work of the Church Aria} and there are numbers of them in Eng lhnd and the Dominions. The caravau. • which will spent two years in the northern parts of the diocese, Was taken to ; St. J ude 's, Avondale, for the weekend and will leave for Warkworth tomorrow.
