Meeting of the Union

WAIPAWA, Last Night. The monthJy meeting of the Tikokino branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was held on Monday last, the depqty-chairman. Mr D. Eddy, presiding over a good attendanco of members. The branch unanimously agreed to refuse acceptance of the principle of fixation of eartage rates. It was decided that the branch endeavour to obtain the services of the District Government Veterinary to gjve an address to members on "Common ailments of stock at this time oi' the year," and to extend an invitation to the Ongaonga branch and Smedley Cadet? to attend should tlje arrangements be completed. It was also agreed tbat it would be beneficial to Joeal branehes if they co-ordiuated in tho matter of issuing invitations on the occasion of lectures or demonstrations of iriterest to all farmers
