Many Applicants for Seats Disappointed

AUCKLAND, Last Night. A large . number of cheques, moneyorders and pound notes are being returned by the Auckland R-ugby Union to epthusiasts all over the Dominion because of the inability to reserve seats, for all applicants ' for the first Springbok match against Auckland on July 24. Up to £20 a day has been returned. The Licensed Yictuallers, who 'wiil be holding a conference in Auckland, asked for 100 seats, but the request was declined. . . A Sydney. enthusiast sent a cheque coveripg. the , . cost. of seats for the Auckland and Wellington matches, also for the three Tests. The cheque has been returned. By the time the requirements of affiliated sub-unions have been met, two-thirds of the main stand, which- holds 1400 people, wiil have been reserved. Preferential bookings for the public wiil be by, a system of coupons. Ten thousand school children wiil be accommodated in the front ot the picket fence surrounding • the playing area. *
