WITH THE HOUNDS

Meet at Okawa Grove Plantation COUPLE 0F GOOD RUNS (Contributed.) The hunt met at the Okawa Grovo plantation on Tuesday by courtesy of Mr. T. H. Lowry. Hounds moved off to draw the young grass and the point paddock, and put up a hare that gave a good run over the road to the dip creek, then turned back to the Grove. This line crossed the road and made to Mr. Davis's ploughed gronnd. Here, after a check, hounds got their line again and Tan back over the road to the hares* paddock, only to Tecross the road double and give a fast run nearly to Mr, Elliott's homestead. Here there was a long check, and the scent was lost. Hounds were then taken back to Okawa to draw the creek and dip plantations. After drawing for half an hour a strong hare broke away from some dead timber and made a line acoss McWilliams's to Mr. R. Lowry 's property, crossing several boggy drains. Hounds worked out their line to the Triangle and over towards Oreka, but the sun had goxie and the ground was too eold for any satisfactory working of hounds, so the hunt was brought in at 3.45.
