HAPPY MEETING OF THE GUILD OF FELLOWSHIP

A happy meeting of the members of St Matthew's Guild of Fellowship was held yesterday afterncon, all present making ihe most of an opportunity to help along the guild sewing and to move about ' and chat .togetker. The guild president, Mrs Barton Hobbs, was present, and with her the secretary, Mrs H. de Denne. An invitation had been extended to the Kohupataki Maori choir to be the guests of « the Guild, but as they were unable to accept Mrs Tomoana represented them and was welcomed by the Rev. K. Liggett. The members joined enthusiastically into the community singing, for which the Rev. Liggett ably played the accompaniments, and the guild song shcets were greatly appreciated. 0 Afternoon tea was enjoyed by everyone and afterwards the members were entertained with two songs by their oldest member, Mrs Porter, and later by several songs from A. A. Milne's "When We Were Very Young," which were sung by the Rev. K. Liggett and received hearty applause. Members chatted together, and before departing were given a reminder of the entertainment to be held in St. Matthew's Hall on Wednesday evening.
