Whanawhana-Bred Offerings FINE CONDITION , Cattle-brceders were afforded au unusual opportunity of securing a good selection of young, pureb'red Hereford bulls on Saturday when tho Hawke's Bay Associated Auctioneevs offered at Storti'ord Lodge a fine entry bred by Beamish Bros., Whanawhana. The off'ering consisted of 20 rising two-year-olds and three rising three-year-olds. Beamish Bros. are to be eommended upon Ihe splendid natural copdition in wiiich the bulls came forward. They possessed the breed cnaracteristics axitl should sire high quality stock^ The polled entries were particularly attractive and commanded the better saies. Several of the bulls were sired by Royal Gein 25th, bred by the wellknown Hereford breeder Mr F. E. Humphreys, of Ngatapa, Gisborne. Tbis fine sire is by iinporto-l blood. The whole of the Whanawhana stock has been l'ounded on outstanding ; strains, this being a noticeable feature when the e.itries were put into the selling-ring. They revealed the qualities necessary for the raising of the. high-grade beef tliat the industry is demanding.
