A MODERN HERCULES

Tony Felice a Fine Wrestling Record A highly colourfiil wrestler is Tony Feliee, who has been matehed xvith "Smiling" Steve Savage by the Pioneer Wrestling G'lub for ncxt Thursday night in tke "-Hastings Municipal Theatro. Felice is the type of grappler that attracts much attention from the crowd, aud apart from his playful "baitiug" of the referee aud seconds, or ahybody near the ring, he ds a capable wrestler. During the past six months or so he has registered victories over several well-lmown matmen such as Chief Thunder Bird, Hal Eumberg, Sailor Jack Arnold, Ted King Cox, Bcb lvruse, aud Jack Spellman, The uiajortty of these cncountere took placo at Honolulu during our "off scason" and over there Tony was a great favourite, attracting great houses with every appearanee. This will be Felice's second visit to New Zealand, and since that previous call he has improved very eonsiderably, as was expected in view of his continued travelling. He has wrestled all over the world and his records reveal that he has won far more matches than he has lost. Tony does not have any particular spoeiality, except his tlirillprovtiding kabit of resent to any attempt to curb his activities. He relies upon his great strength and rush-and-tear tacties which are as liewildering to the spectators as they are to his opponents. His opponent is well able to look after himself for Steve Savage is a real diraw-card, and adraitted on all sjides as being one of the best wrestlers to have ever yvisited New Zealand. He is just tho type to match with the cvoracbive and rcstlcss spirit of Felice and tliere can be little doubting that the bout will provide first-cla>ss entertain- I ment as well as high-class wrestling. A good preliminary programme has i been arranged, four matcliings having \ been made so that a fuU-niglit 's tour- : nainent is assured, » j
