It is a fascinatiiig story 6f the brilliant Irish beanty, singer, and daneer, and superb actress, Peg WoffingtOU, • who went froife Dublin to London, and by her viraeity, Wit, charm and sheer hard work made herself, at Drury Lane ThCatre, the adored favourite of Lendon's millions, Anna Neagle plays the part of Peg with rare charm^ while no better ehoice could have been made than Cedric Hardwicke for David Garrick. The play abounds in charmingly natural love seenes, brilliantly played Shakespearean and Ben Johnson excerpts, and moments ef broad comedy. Screening With "Peg Of Old Drury" is another full-length feature, "The Hope of His Side", with Sydney Howard, who takes the part of * henpecked village blacksmith who, tiring of his wife's iaterminable lectnres, deeides to asgert himself, and to beeome one of ihe lads of the village.
