MINISTERIAL. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of ludustries and Commerce, will leave Wellington on Monday on an oiiieial visit to Hawke's Bay and the East Coast districts. On Tuesday he will take part in the ceremony of driving the last spike at the Mohaka Viaduct oji tho East Coast railway line at present under construction. Mr. Sullivan will be away from Wellington for about a week. Mr. W. F. Leicester, Hastings, is visiting Wellington. Mr. A. S. Bennett, Napier, is a visitor to Wellington. Mr. K.; C. Daniell, Napier, is visiting W ellington, Mr. A. W. Hellyer, Napier, is at jresent staying' in Wellington. Mr. Spencer Triggs, of Waipukurau, has accepted a position in Wellington as committee reporter for the House of Representatives. He will not be leaving Hawke's 6ay until late in August. Mrs. F. A. Ganderton, Waipukurau, is at present in South Canterbury, whero her mother is seriously ill. Sho travelled by 'plane from Palmerston North. Lieutenant-Commander W. H. Watts and Mrs. Watts, of Karachi, India, are oh a visit. to Napier and are staying with Lieutenant-Commander Watts 's sister, Mrp, C, V. Brown, of George street, Mr. R. Littlejohn, who for the past two years has been Hawke's Bay man* ager for the Highways Transport Co., Ltd., left Hastings yesterday to take up a position with C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd., in Invercargill. Mr. J. Meikle, a well-known Tesident of Meanee, celebrated his 70th birthday on Thursday, and was the recipient of good wishes at a funetion held to mark the occasion. Mr. Meikle proved to be a genial host and those present spent a most enjoyable evening.
