CHEISTCHUECH, This Day. David Thomas Eowan, one of the six firemen who participated in a fight aboard the Tairoa last Friday, made his appearance in Court to-day charged with desertion. With the others who had been sentenced to imprisonment as the result of the fracas, Eowan was put aboard yesterday before the vessel sailed for Monte Video, but apparently he got ashore again.
