MEXICAN RAILWAYS
Taken Over By State (Received 25, 11.0 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, June 24. A presidential decree has been pubiished expropriating the national railways, in which the Government holds a majority interest, the remainder being privately held by British, French and American interests. The railways have foreign obligations, including defaulted interest, totalling 500,000,000 dollars. The measure is considered as a step toward the socialisation of industr.v.
