HEAD-ON COLLISION

Motor Smash at Awatoto MAN INJURED BY FLYING GLASS A passenger in a motor vehicle was injured by flying-glass in a head-on vollision on the ,main Napier-Hastings road at Awatoto at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. Extensive damage was done to both the vehieles involved in tho smash. A car driven by Mr James Alexander Wilson, Napier, was proceeding to Hastings, when it met a line of cars. Oue of them, driven by a Mr Herrick, pulled out in an attempt to pass, and met the approaching vehicle almost liead-on. A brother of Mr Wilson, Mr liobert H. Wilson, who was a passen- , ger in the front seat, was injured by glass from the windshield, but was able to go home after attention.
