NEW MAIN HIGHWAYS

H.B. County Applications Application has been made by the Bawlce's Bay County Couneil, following its annual review of Toads in the djstrict, for a number of additionab roads to be classed as main highways. The application of tlie county will be oonsiaered by the Main Highways Boura together with applications from other counties in tho Dominion. A total of more than 80 niiles of roada is involved in the applications. Eollowing are the areas which the county - wishes to be made main highways; — Napier-Taihape (38} miles), Middle road (17 miles), Dukahu-Paki-paki (4f miles), Te Mata-Mangatere-tere (4} miles), Puketapu-Taradale-Meeanee-Awatoto (8 miles), fSekoo] road-Blaclt Bridge (2 miles 25 chains), Baukaw a-Bridge Pa (8 miles); Westshore railway erossing-Joylands (28 chains), Waimarama-Bathings Sheds (10 chains), Cato's Hill-Taradale road via Churcli road (70 chains), Mill road (47 chains).
